Also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), tapping is a healing tool that combines principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. EFT has been validated as an "evidence-based" practice using criteria published by the American Psychological Association (APA).
I use my expertise to guide you to your core underlying issues. As you focus on a negative emotion or experience, you use your fingers to tap on nine specific meridian points on your body. When you physically tap on those points, it sends a calming signal to the brain that it's safe to relax, helping you release the stress, anger, sadness, overwhelm, and distress.
I can help you safely release those burdens and open you up to living with more joy and success. Studies show that the changes from tapping are long lasting, even if you have suffered for years.
My name is Julie Duerichen, certified Master EFT Practitioner, and I am honored to assist you on your journey to more happiness and health.
Being prone to anxiety and overwhelm my whole life, I would often wake up shaking, just facing a regular day. Tapping regularly as well as working with EFT Practitioners has completely transformed my life, both in dealing with my everyday challenges, and also healing from the pain and trauma of divorce. I have found the changes to be deep, lasting, and often much quicker than traditional talk therapies, because tapping releases the root of the problem and avoids the cycle of retraumatization.
I committed myself to helping others find hope, joy and relief.
I began my training with Alina Frank and Craig Weimar at the EFT Tapping Training Institute. I was then fortunate to study in depth with Deborah Lindsey at the Center for EFT Studies and receive my
Master Practitioner (Level 3) Certification.
I used to think that emotions ruled my life and that I had little control over my thoughts or my energy levels. I often felt overwhelmed and unable to feel calm or forgive painful experiences of the past.
Now I look at emotions as opportunities and teachers. I am excited to help you release your emotions without fear, regain your power, and let your heart sing a fuller song of joy!
I take my role very seriously as the conduit to help you be your own healer and to feel empowered to live your best life. You don't need to do this alone. My goal is to support you in a compassionate and completely non judgmental way. I will also teach you how to tap on your own, so that you can use EFT as a self regulation tool whenever you need it.
As we tap, we often uncover deeper and deeper parts of us that need to be healed. It is a sacred passage, and well worth the work it takes to do it!
